Sacred Psychedelia
Website Design
I designed a website for Sacred Psychedelia, a small start-up based in Boulder, Colorado. Our main focus was directing users to their newly published audiobook.
Client: Blakely Saucier, Sacred Psychedelia
Project type: Website Design
Role: UX & Graphic Designer
Year: 2024
Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Wix

The Problem
Navigating traumatic experiences can be a lonely and difficult process, and there are very few tools available for those who seek peace and healing through psychedelic medicine. The pervasive societal and political stigmas associated with the psychedelic community contribute to a climate of fear, further complicating the search for support.
The Featured Product
Blakely approached me with various ideas for her website, aiming to support others through psychedelics based on her own healing journey. After extensive discussions, we streamlined the offerings to enhance user engagement, focusing on her newly recorded audiobook.
Our primary objective was to guide users to Blakely’s inaugural project: the audio rendition of Timothy Leary’s 'Psychedelic Prayers.' Users can download the audiobook and enjoy three full-length meditation tracks for free on the book's page.

Solution
Develop an intuitive website that provides support for the safe utilization of psychedelic medicines. It will feature guided meditation sessions, produced by advocate Blakely Saucier in collaboration with leaders in the Boulder psychedelic community.
Wireframes
While initially I intended on three separate pages for the website, I ultimately opted for a single-page design. By simplifying as much as possible, users could better focus on the audiobook.

Design Elements
I focused on jewel tones to create a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere that evokes feelings of calm, inspiration, and excitement in users.
To complement this vision, I also designed a seamless background pattern inspired by "sacred geometry," which mirrors the visual experiences associated with psychedelic medicine.

What’s Next?
Our immediate focus is promoting the audiobook and gauging interest in additional offerings. Sacred Psychedelia will attend local events and public discussions on psychedelic healthcare.
I’m also working with them on developing merchandise, including ceremony apparel, yoga gear, and household items.
For the website, we plan to add sections for merchandise and news & events. I'll decide whether to keep it as a single page or expand to multiple pages, both easily integrated into the current design. More to come!
